Conference Objective:
Minerals are essential raw materials in our daily lives, and are vital for economic, social and technological development. The mining industry provides raw materials, minerals and metals to our economy. Mineral-based industries use minerals as raw materials for production. Hence mining, minerals, metals and materials based industries contribute significantly to the domestic and global economies. They provide the foundations for modern living, innovation and engineering achievements.

Technology has come to play a greater role in the mineral based industries making way for better circular economy by recycle the materials. It does not only reduce the environmental impacts of the surrounding but also reduces mining activities. Environmental effects have long been a concern for these industries and have to follow strictly environmental guidelines to prevent erosion, groundwater contamination, and loss of biodiversity.
