Vietnam: Bulk coal imports fall by 20% m-o-m in Oct'24; Indonesia emerges as top supplier

Vietnam's bulk coal (coking, non-coking, and met coke) imports declined by 20% in Oct'24 to 3.2 mnt from 4.0 mnt in Sep'24. However, imports in Oct'24 were 9% higher than 2.9 mnt in Oct'23.Indonesia was the leading supplier at 1.5 mnt, followed by Australia at 1.0 mnt.Notably, in Jan-Oct'24, imports totalled 44.5 mnt, a 29% rise from 34.5 mnt in the CPLY.
