US: RMDAS ferrous scrap index sees positive trends in Jan'25
In Jan'25, the RMDAS ferrous scrap index, indicating spot market prices for steel mills and foundries in the US, witnessed an uptrend. The index recorded the following price adjustments (compared to the previous assessment on 21 Dec'24):
- Shredded scrap increased by $20/t to $393/t.
- Prompt industrial composite scrap rose by $20/t to $416/t.
- HMS increased by $25/t to $355/t.
