In Dec'24, the RMDAS ferrous scrap index, indicating spot market prices for steel mills and foundries in the US, witnessed a downtrend. The index recorded the following price adjustments (compared to the previous assessment on 21 Nov):
- Shredded scrap decreased by $9/t to $373/t.
- Prompt industrial composite scrap fell $7/t to $396/t.
- HMS decreased by $5/t to $330/t.
