South Korea: Major mills to lower scrap procurement prices by $8/t
South Korea's major steel mills, such as POSCO and Hyundai Steel, plan to reduce scrap prices by KRW 10,000/t ($8/t) with effect from 21-22 Mar'24. Hyundai Steel expects continued low prices due to weak demand, declining international prices and profitability, aggravated by production cuts.
