In the South Asian ferrous scrap market, Indian buyers exhibited restrained activity amid uncertainty over price trends and domestic market volatility. Shredded scrap offers from Europe and the US were reported at $415-420/t CFR, while HMS (80:20) stood at $385-395/t CFR. Pakistani and Bangladeshi buyers were quiet due to the Eid holidays. Notably, Europe-origin bulk HMS (80:20) scrap indicatives were at $380-382/t CFR Turkiye.
