Russia emerges as China's largest graphite electrode importer in 2021
China?s 2021 graphite electrode exports are up by almost 28% to 430,000 t against 330,000 t in 2020 on account of higher crude steel production worldwide. It exported the highest volumes to Russia in 2021, which were up 40% y-o-y to 43,026 t. Turkey followed with 40,721 t, up 65%. In third place was Korea, with 26,645 t, up 91%. Malaysia showed a 22% drop to 22,790 t.
