Indonesia plans to hike tin royalty tariffs considering rising international prices

Indonesia, a major tin producer, is planning to hike the royalty tariffs imposed on the production of tin considering rising international prices, according to media reports. This will increase the government revenues from tin mining, director-general of mineral and coal at the energy ministry Ridwan Djamaluddin said in a parliamentary hearing. Based on the sale price, the royalty tariff on tin production is 3% at present.
