India: Sponge iron prices rise despite low trade volumes - 23 Dec
Sponge iron prices in India increased by INR 50-350/t on 23 December, 2023. However, sponge CDRI prices only in Ramgarh dropped by INR 200/t. PDRI market prices closed at a range of INR 25,650-28,500/t and CDRI prices, at INR 27,550-32,100/t. About 7,500 tonnes (t) of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on Saturday compared to 27,350 t on 21 December.
