India: SECL to auction over 1 mnt of non-coking coal
South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL) will hold an e-auction for 1.04 mnt of non-coking coal on 25 Jan'25. The auction will feature coal grades ranging from G6 to G12. Regular e-auctions by SECL and other Coal India subsidiaries indicate surplus production, which will likely reduce domestic coal prices and bring down reliance on imported coal, whose stocks in India are currently at elevated levels.
