India: Sarda Energy receives approval to expand Gare Palma IV/7 coal mine
Sarda Energy and Minerals Ltd. has received consent from the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board to expand the production capacity of its Gare Palma IV/7 coal mine from 1.44 mnt pa to 1.68 mnt pa. The approval, granted under the Water and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Acts, will enable increased coal production at the Karwahi Open Cast Coal Mine.
