India: SAIL-BSP books 3,400 t of rails at INR 41,000/t exw in auction
Steel major, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), conducted an auction for 3,400 t (60 kg and 52 kg, full length) of commercial rails on 21 Sep'24 from Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh. Buyers booked around 3,100 t of 60 kg rails at an average price of INR 41,000/t exw. Meanwhile, 300 t of 52 kg rails were booked at INR 70,500/t exw.
