India: SAIL books 20,000 t of ferro silicon at reverse auction

SAIL had earlier issued a purchase tender for 20,000 t of ferro silicon (Si: 70% min, 10-100 mm) for its seven plants across India. At the reverse auction concluded on 4 Dec'24, the entire material was booked at around INR 109,032/t FOR, excluding taxes, officials informed. Delivery of the material is scheduled within four months from the date of the purchase order.
