India's ferrous scrap imports drop 12% m-o-m in Sep'24

India's ferrous scrap imports fell by 12% to 0.76 mnt in Sep'24 from 0.86 mnt in Aug'24, according to provisional data from BigMint. Y-o-y, imports dropped 10% from 0.84 mnt in Sep'23. The US and the UK led exports, with 0.12 mnt and 0.10 mnt, respectively, reflecting m-o-m declines of 25% and 9%, while Poland's exports rose 20% to 0.06 mnt in Sep'24 from 0.05 mnt in Aug'24.
