India: Portside South African thermal coal prices fall w-o-w amid weak demand, high inventories

India's portside prices of South African thermal coal declined this week. RB2 (5500 NAR) dropped by INR 250/t w-o-w to INR 8,900/t, while RB3 (4800 NAR) fell INR 300/t w-o-w to INR 7,300/t, both ex-Gangavaram. Prices softened due to low demand and ample inventories, though RB3 stocks remained limited. Market participants noted muted buying interest, as demand remains subdued.
