India: Melting scrap prices jump by INR 500/t d-o-d in Alang
Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat's Alang market increased by INR 500/t d-o-d on 11 Nov'24, as per BigMint's assessment. HMS (80:20) stood at INR 35,500/t ($421/t) exy. Active trade activities were observed for semi-finished and finished steel in the region during the previous trading session. Additionally, buying inquiries for scrap improved, which prompted suppliers to lift their offers today.
