India: Melting scrap prices in Alang remain stable for 3rd consecutive day
Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, held steady for the third consecutive day on 2 Dec'24. According to BigMint's assessment, HMS (80:20) stood at INR 34,500/t ($407/t) ex-yard. Prices of semi-finished and finished steel also remained firm during the previous trading session. This, along with moderate trade activity in scrap, encouraged suppliers to maintain stable prices.
