India: Melting scrap prices decrease by INR 600/t d-o-d in Alang
Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat's Alang fell by INR 600/t d-o-d on 13 Nov'24. According to BigMint's assessment, HMS (80:20) stood at INR 34,700/t ($411/t) exy. In yesterday's trading session, muted trade was noted for semi-finished and finished steel, as demand remained limited. This, combined with average scrap trading, led suppliers to adjust their offers downward, in line with softened market demand.
