India: Melting scrap prices decrease by INR 600/t d-o-d in Alang
Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat's Alang market fell by INR 600/t d-o-d on 22 Oct'24, according to BigMint's assessment, with HMS (80:20) at INR 33,600/t ($400/t) exy. Due to limited demand, semi-finished steel prices fell by around INR 700/t in the region during yesterday's trading session. Additionally, average trade activities in scrap prompted suppliers to reduce their offers today.
