India: Medium-carbon silico manganese prices rise by INR 2,100/t ($24/t) w-o-w

India's medium-carbon silico manganese (Mn: 53%, Si: 20%, C: 0.5% max) prices elevated by INR 2,100/t ($24/t) w-o-w to INR 84,800/t ($981/t) exw-Durgapur on 16 Jan'25. Offers ranged at INR 82,500-86,500/t ($954-1,000/t), while trades of around 200 t took place at INR 85,000/t ($983/t). A shortage in high-grade (Mn:44%) manganese ore pushed up the prices and currently offers stood at $4.5/dmtu, source informed BigMint.
