India: Medium-carbon silico manganese prices edge up by INR 800/t ($9/t) w-o-w

India's medium-carbon silico manganese (Mn: 53%, Si: 20%, C: 0.5% max) prices inched up by INR 800/t ($9/t) w-o-w to INR 82,700/t ($963/t) exw-Durgapur on 9 Jan'25. Offers ranged at INR 81,000-87,000/t ($943-1,013/t), while trades of around 120 t took place at INR 82,000/t ($955/t). Although demand was limited, a shortage in high-carbon manganese ore pushed up overall prices.
