Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) and Jindal Renewable Power Private Limited (JRPL) have signed an MoU to invest in green hydrogen production for steelmaking at JSPL's Angul facility. The agreement, the largest of its kind in India's steel industry, also includes a plan for JRPL to supply 3 GW of renewable energy to JSPL, to halve the steelmaker's fossil fuel usage in 2-3 years.
