India: HR strip prices rise by INR 200/t ($2/t) d-o-d in key markets
HR strip (patra) prices rose by INR 200/t ($2/t) d-o-d in Raipur and Mandi today as demand started to improve post-holidays in both the markets. A deal was heard concluded of 250 t at Mandi, Gobindgarh. Current base-grade patra (148-200 mm, 2 mm thick) prices are at INR 44,700/t ($538/t) exw-Raipur and INR 45,600/t ($549/t) exw-Mandi. Prices are excluding GST at 18%.
