India: Govt to launch ninth tranche of commercial coal mining auction on 20 Dec'23

The Ministry of Coal (MoC) has launched the ninth tranche of auctions for sale of coal blocks under the commercial mining scheme by putting an offer for 26 coal mines. Amongst the mines put to auction, three are under the CM (SP) Act 2015 and 23 mines under the MMDR Act 1957. The eligibility criteria have been removed eliminating any financial or technical barriers from participation.
