India: Export deals of 30,000 t sponge iron concluded for Nepal, Bangladesh
As per BigMint's weekly assessment, sponge iron export offers increased significantly by $4-$29/t w-o-w amid fluctuations in domestic market sentiments and prices of the material. Approximately 19,500 t of sponge iron were sold to Nepal and 10,500 t to Bangladesh, with Nepal's export prices surging to $371/t CPT Raxaul and Bangladesh's to $364/t CPT Benapole. A rise in buying activity supported the increase in offers.
