India and Russia ink pact for new units at Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant

India and Russia inked an agreement on Tuesday for the construction of a new power plant at the Kudankulam nuclear facility. Since 2016, the first unit of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant has been consistently operating at its 1,000 MW capacity. Positioned in Tamil Nadu, Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant stands as the largest nuclear facility in India.
