Skyrocketing coal prices in the country amid constrained coal output had compelled Chinese traders to look for cheaper coal abroad. China's robust coal demand has lifted global thermal coal prices: Indonesian 4,200 GAR coal is up by 16% to $64/t, South African 5,500 NAR coal has moved up by 11% in July to $93.6/t, and Australian 5,500 NAR coal has moved up 35% in the last two months.
