China: Steel inventory with mills continue to rise w-o-w

Inventory of steel products with Chinese mills rose by 3% w-o-w to 8.54 mnt as on 29 Dec'23 compared to 8.27 mnt in the previous week.

• Inventory of rebars and wire rods increased by 9% and 7% to 3.89 mnt and 0.62 mnt, respectively.
• Plates inventory moved down by 3% to 1.04 mnt.
• Inventory of HRCs dropped by 2% to 1.91 mnt, while that of CRCs inched down by 1% to 1.08 mnt.
