China: Steel billet prices inch up by RMB 10/t ($2/t) d-o-d
- Steel billet prices in China's Tangshan edged up by RMB 10/t ($2/t) d-o-d to RMB 3,010/t ($410/t) on 15 Jan'25. Prices include 13% VAT.
- Rising raw material and finished steel prices, as well as rebar futures, and decreasing inventory levels with demand recovery have contributed to the uptrend in billet prices.
- SHFE rebar futures (May'25 delivery) increased by RMB 7/t ($1/t) d-o-d to RMB 3,290/t ($449/t) on 15 Jan.
