China: Graphite electrode prices remain stable in Jan'22

Graphite electrode (GE) prices in China have remained largely unchanged m-o-m in Jan'22 amid stabile needle coke prices and mixed demand from the steel sector. While China's EAF mills increased electrodes purchases since the beginning of CY'22, the latter half of Jan saw reduced buying as independent EAF steelmakers gradually suspended production ahead of the Lunar New Year holidays.
