China: Automobile sales increase m-o-m in Aug'24
Chinese automobile sales in Aug'24 increased by 8.5% to 2.45 million units m-o-m as against 2.26 million units in Jul'24, as per data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). However, sales volumes saw a decline of 5% y-o-y as against 2.58 million units in Aug'23. During Jan-Aug'24, auto production and sales edged up by 2.5% and 3% y-o-y to 18.67 and 18.77 million units, respectively.
