SE Asia: Imported billet prices hit 2-month low amid weak demand for finished steel

Southeast Asian imported billet prices hit a two-month low amid a dull market, impacted by weak demand for finished steel. BigMint's bi-weekly assessment placed billets (150 x 150 mm, 3SP) imported by the Philippines at $475/t CFR Manila on 15 Nov, down $20/t w-o-w. However, Vietnam's BF-grade billet exports stood unchanged at $465/t FOB on 15 Nov. Additionally, a 70,000-t deal was heard concluded at $465/t FOB.
