Pakistan's thermal coal imports up 31% in Oct'24, Indonesia leading supplier

In Oct'24, Pakistan's thermal coal imports rose around 31% m-o-m to 0.92 mnt from 0.70 mnt in Sep'24. Indonesia emerged as top supplier with 0.29 mnt in Oct'24.South Africa's share declined to 0.18 mnt in Oct'24, down from 0.37 mnt in Sep'24. Imports from Mozambique and Tanzania were recorded at 0.11 mnt each. Imports saw a 19% y-o-y rise compared to 0.77 mnt in Oct'23.
