India: HR strip prices rise by up to INR 2,100/t w-o-w in key markets
HR strip (patra) prices increased by INR 2,100/t w-o-w in Mandi Gobindgarh and by INR 1,600/t in Raipur on 27 Sep'24. Current base-grade patra (148-200 mm, 2 mm thick) prices stood at INR 44,200/t exw-Mandi and INR 42,200/t exw-Raipur. Prices exclude 18% GST. Prices rose amid sharp increase in raw material prices and improved demand for finished steel in both the markets.
