India: HR strip prices rise by INR 300/t ($4/t) d-o-d in key markets
HR strip (patra) prices rose by INR 300/t ($4/t) d-o-d in Raipur and Mandi today as demand improvement seen in both the markets. Deals were heard concluded of around 700 t at Mandi, Gobindgarh and 300 t in Raipur. Current base-grade patra (148-200 mm, 2 mm thick) prices stood at INR 43,500/t ($522/t) exw-Raipur and INR 46,000/t ($552/t) exw-Mandi. Prices are excluding GST at 18%.
