World Crude Steel Output Inch Up 2% in Jul'18

According to the recent data released by World Steel Association (WSA) total crude steel production of 66 steel manufacturing inch up by 2% on monthly basis in Jul'18 to 154.57 MnT against 152.211 MnT in Jun'18.

Similarly on Y-o-Y basis world crude steel output increases by 6% in Jul'18 against 146.10 MnT in previous year.

During first seven months of CY18 (Jan-Jul) world crude steel output moved up by 5% to 1038 MnT which was 988 MnT in similar time frame of previous year.

SteelMint has analyzed world's crude steel production numbers of major steel producing countries -

China's crude steel output remain largely stable - China crude steel output remain largely stable at 81.24 MnT in Jul'18 which was 80.19 MnT in previous month.However on Y-o-Y basis the same jumped by 7.2% in Jul'18 against 75.75 MnT Jul'17.

India's crude steel output move up by 3% M-o-M in Jul'18- As per WSA (World Steel Association) Indian crude steel output went up by 3% M-o-M basis to 9 MnT in Jul'18 which was 8.73 MnT in Jun'18.However on yearly basis Indian crude steel output jumped by 8% in Jul'18 against 8.33 MnT in Jul'17.

Japan's crude steel output decline by 4% M-o-M in Jul'18 - Japan crude steel output decreases by 4% to 8.42 MnT in Jul'18 which was 8.75 MnT in Jun'18.Meanwhile on Y-o-Y basis nation's crude steel output inch down by 2% as compared to 8.58 MnT in Jul'17.

United States crude steel output up by 3% M-o-M in Jul'18- USA crude steel output recorded the growth of 3% M-o-M in Jul'18 to 7.27 MnT as compared to 7.05 MnT in Jun'18.However on yearly basis it rises by 4.5% in Jul'18 against 6.96 MnT a year ago.

South Korea crude steel move up marginally by 1% M-o-M in Jul'18- South Korea's crude steel production move up marginally by 1% M-o-M to 6.17 MnT in Jul'18 which was 6.11 MnT in Jun'18. Meanwhile on Y-o-Y basis the same remain largely stable at 6.17 MnT in Jul'18 and Jul'17.

Crude steel production of other top steel producing countries in month of Jul'18 is as follows Russia: 6.17 MnT Brazil: 3.022 MnT ,Turkey 3.26 MnT and Germany at 3.90 MnT.
