USA Flat Steel Export Rise 22% Y-o-Y in Nov'17

USA reported surge in flat steel export volumes 22% on yearly basis in Nov '17 however on monthly basis the same observe marginal decline.
According to latest customs data, USA flat steel exports which includes (7208 HR coils/Plates,7209 CR coils, 7210, 7212 GP/GC and 7225 electrical sheets registered increase of 22% Y-o-Y basis in Nov'17.Nation has exported 0.45 MnT of flat steel in Nov'17 against 0.37 MnT in Nov'16.
On monthly premise, flat steel exports moved down marginally by 4.2% in Nov'17 as USA flat steel exports was assessed at 0.47 MnT in Oct'17.
During eleven months of CY17 (Jan-Nov17) nation's flat steel exports surged by 24% to 5.16 MnT in comparison to 4.17 MnT in corresponding time frame of preceding year.
Mills in USA have raised the HRC prices in the month of Nov'17 owing to bullish sentiments prevailed in domestic market.This lead to fall in export volumes on monthly basis.

Country-Wise USA Flat Steel Exports in Nov'17- In the month of Nov'17 USA has exported 0.21 MnT of flat steel to Mexico, down by 13% M-o-M basis against 0.24 MnT in Oct'17. Another major importer of USA flat steel is Canada which has imported 0.20 MnT of flat steel in Nov'17.
In tenure of Jan-Nov'17 Mexico was the major flat steel importer from USA and has accounted for 47.74% of share (2.47 MnT).Second largest importer of USA is Canada with 45.58% of share (2.35 MnT) and third largest importer was India which accounted for 0.99% of share (0.05 MnT) in Jan-Nov'17.
