Following increasing purchase activities from Baltic and European suppliers to Turkey, the USA scrap export offers may come under pressure. However, USA based suppliers are selling materials domestically over the availability good prices in the local market.

Turkeys' rebar export offers decline further on weakening lira - Rebar trade activities in Turkey remained limited again this week. In last two weeks' time, Turkish Lira (TRY) depreciated by almost 5% against USD. Today it is trading at 4.15 which was trading at around 3.95 on 30th Mar'18.

Turkey rebar export offers have decreased by USD 5-10/MT on W-o-W basis to USD 550-560/MT, FoB Turkey. Domestic rebar offers in Turkey also fell by USD 10/MT W-o-W to USD 560-580/MT, ex-works.
