Taiwan: Flat Steel Exports Decline by 25% in Nov'18

As per latest custom data,Taiwan flat steel exports which includes 7208 (HR coils/Plates),7209(CR coils),7225(Electrical sheets),7210/7212(GP/GC) reported plunge by 25% M-o-M to 0.63 MnT in Nov'18 as compare to 0.84 MnT in previous month.
Taiwan flat steel exports reported decline as end users in Vietnam were prefering imported HRC from China amid cheaper export offers. Meanwhile Vietnamese mills also prefer HRC from India and Russia over competitive HRC offers from both the nations. Also domestic prodcuer Formosa Ha Tinh had slightly lowered thier HRC offers for Nov shipments following decline in export offers from China.
Meanwhile U.S.A has imposed 25% of tariffs on the Taiwan steel exports which lead to decline in nation's steel export volumes. Thus nation is optimistically looking forward for tariff and quota exemptions.
On yearly basis, nation's flat steel exports have shown significant decline of 11% in Nov'18 as compared to 0.71 MnT in previous year.
During first eleven months (Jan-Nov'18) nation's flat steel export registered inch up by 4% at 8.14 MnT against 7.8 MnT in similar time frame of previous year.

Country-Wise Taiwan Flat Steel Exports in Nov'18 - Vietnam being the major importer of Taiwan procured 0.07 MnT in Nov'18 decline significantly by 30% compared to 0.10 MnT in previous month.
Secondly, China imported 0.09 MnT in Nov'18 fell by 18% against 0.11 MnT in Oct'18.
Followed by Japan at 0.08 MnT, Malaysia at 0.06 MnT, Spain at 0.02 MnT and Belgium with 0.03 MnT followed by USA with 0.03 MnT in Nov'18.
