SteelMint's Daily Trade Sheet - 30 Oct'23

SteelMint's domestic steel scrap (end-cutting) index rose by INR 300/t d-o-d to INR 39,100/t DAP Mandi Gobindgarh on 30 October, 2023.

SteelMint's billet index inched up by INR 200/tonne (t) on 30 October, 2023 to INR 42,400/t exw-Raipur. Transactions of 1,500 tonnes (t) were recorded on 30 October in Raipur as against 1,900 t on 28 October.

Sponge iron prices in India rose by INR 100-600/t across key locations. Prices continued to rise on rising steel prices followed by moderate demand. About 20,220 tonnes (t) of sponge iron transactions were recorded on 30 October across the country as against 9,850 t recorded on 28 October.
