SteelMint's Daily Trade Sheet - 18 Dec'23

SteelMint's billet index continued to remain constant at INR 40,650/t exw-Raipur on 18 December, 2023. About 1,000 t of billet deals were concluded on 18 December compared to 1,910 t on 16 December.

As of 18 December, 2023, SteelMint's index for domestic steel scrap (end-cutting) remained constant d-o-d at INR 38,800/t (DAP) in Mandi Gobindgarh.

Indian sponge iron prices fell on 18 December, declining in the range of INR 50-200/t d-o-d in some major markets. About 9,360 tonnes (t) of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 18 December compared to 6,000 t on 16 December.
