SteelMint's Daily Trade Sheet - 11 Dec'23

SteelMint's billet index fell by INR 50/tonne (t) to INR 40,800/t exw-Raipur on 11 December, 2023. About 2,800 t of billet deals were concluded on 11 December compared to 1,570 t on 9 December.

On 11 December, SteelMint reported an INR 100/t d-o-d rise in the domestic steel scrap (end-cutting) index, bringing it to INR 38,200/t DAP Mandi Gobindgarh.

Sponge iron prices in some key locations of India fell by INR 50-150/tonne (t) on 11 December, 2023. However, sponge iron prices in Raipur, Mandi Gobindgarh and Jharsuguda markets rose by INR 50-300/t. About 14,760 tonnes (t) of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 11 December compared to 14,650 on 9 December.
