SteelMint: Rourkela sponge iron index falls, but buying interest improves on lower offers - 30 Aug

SteelMint's daily sponge iron, CDRI, index was assessed at INR 34,900/tonne (t) (- INR 550/t) exw-Rourkela on 30 August, 2022.

About 1800 t of transactions in CDRI were recorded by SteelMint today against 500 t on 29 August.

The index fell as weak trade activity was reported during the first half today.

However, later, price recovery in the northern region led to some improvement in inquiries. Ultimately, spot trades improve as against yesterday.
