SteelMint's domestic steel scrap (end-cutting) index fell by INR 400/tonne (t) to INR 43,400/t DAP Mandi Gobindgarh on 12 Feb'22.

The scrap market continues to remain bearish amidst persistent dull sentiments in the semi-finished and finished steel market. While buyers have adopted the wait and watch mode, sellers are not ready to deal below the current offers, SteelMint learned from sources.

It has also been heard that a few ingots suppliers in Punjab region are holding the material on higher price expectation in the coming days.

Today, 12 sets of trades, indicative prices/bids/offers were recorded in the publishing window.
