SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet - 7 Oct'23

SteelMint's weekly Odisha iron ore fines (Fe 62%) index decreased by INR 200/t w-o-w to INR 5,100/t ex-mines on 7 October, 2023 compared to the last assessment on 30 September.

Indian sponge iron prices fell on 7 October, 2023 in the range of INR 100-500/t in major locations. About 2,720 tonnes (t) of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 7 October compared to 10,660 t on 6 October.

SteelMint's billet index fell further by INR 200/tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 43,700/t exw-Raipur on 7 October, 2023. Transactions for 1,200 t were recorded on 7 October as against 600 t on 6 October.
