SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet - 6 Dec'22

SteelMint's bi-weekly domestic pellets (Fe 63%) index, PELLEX, stood at INR 8,550/tonne (t), up by INR 150/t on 6 December compared to the last assessment on 2 December, 2022. Around 18,800 t of deals were reported.

SteelMint's daily sponge iron, CDRI index rose further to INR 31,300/tonne (t) (+ INR 300) exw-Rourkela on 6 December, 2022. The index increased as a result of strong demand and suppliers' higher volumes on offer. Multiple trades took place today. About 9,420 t of transactions were recorded on 6 December as against 5,190 t on 5 December.

The Indian HRC (SAE1006) export index dropped this week by $10/t as indications to the Middle East market dropped in the past few deals that were reported. SteelMint's India HRC export index was assessed at $535/t FoB east coast, which was at $545/t FoB a week ago.
