SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet - 5 Apr'23

SteelMint's index for Fe63% concentrate prices currently stands at around INR 5,600/tonne (t) exw, stable w-o-w. Iron ore concentrate prices in Jabalpur, central India, remained stable w-o-w on active trades at current offers.

Sponge iron prices in India rose in the range of INR 50-350/tonne (t) in key domestic markets on account of higher offers floated by suppliers. A total of 19,600 t of transactions were recorded today as against 21,750 t on 4 April.

SteelMint's daily steel billet index was assessed at INR 46,550/tonne (t) (+ INR 200/t) exw-Raipur on 5 April, 2023. Although the index inched up d-o-d due to improved buying activities in finished steel, high offers made buyers cautious. Billets transactions of 2,570 t were recorded on 5 April in Raipur as against 4,800 t on 4 April.
