SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet - 31 Oct'22

SteelMint's domestic scrap index remains stable as the market fluctuated in the range of INR 300/tonne on 31 October, 2022, while end-user demand for steel continued to remain limited.

SteelMint's daily steel billet index was assessed at INR 46,000/tonne (t) (- INR 250/t) exw-Raipur on 31 October, 2022. The index dropped further to a three-month low as similar offers were recorded during mid-June. Spot billet trades increased to around 4,600 t on 31 October in Raipur as against 750 t on 29 October.
