Indian sponge iron prices rose further on 3 August, 2023. Prices increased by INR 150-800/t in key markets.About 11,170 tonnes (t) of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country today compared to 26,670 t on 2 August.
SteelMint's assessment on 3 August, Indian ferro chrome (HC60%, Si:4%) prices stood at INR 104,000/t exw-Jajpur. Around 4,000 t of deals were concluded in the price range of INR 103,000-106,000/t.
SteelMint's weekly India low-grade iron ore fines (Fe 57%) export index decreased by $5/t w-o-w to $60/t FOB east coast, as assessed on 3 August 2023.
