SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet - 29 Aug'22

SteelMint's daily steel billet index was assessed at INR 47,500/tonne (t) (- INR 650/t) exw-Raipur on 29 August, 2022. The index fell sharply on account of lower bids, which were about INR 500 lesser than the offers on account of weak finished steel sales.

SteelMint's domestic steel scrap (end-cutting) index fell by INR 800/tonne (t) to INR 44,800/t DAP Mandi Gobindgarh on 29 August 2022. Weak demand for finished steel products dragged down semi-finished steel prices, which also resulted in a sharp correction in scrap prices.
